Snooki's Death Sentence
Before she was boozing, tanning and hooking up on the Jersey Shore, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was arrested for selling booze to minors at a party at her house. And it was because of that very party that one of her classmates lost his life. The 22-year-old reality star was charged in connection with the death of Michael Truncali, one of the party revelers who tied one on at Snooki's house and then consequently died in a DUI accident. At the time of his death in 2004, Truncali had a blood alcohol level of .18. He lrolled over his Mazda after binge drinking at Snooki's house for hours. Following the tragic incident, Snooki was busted for the prohibited sale of alcoholic beverages. Neither Truncali's death nor the charges appear to have turned Snooki off the bottle - she was constantly seen getting lit throughout the first season of the reality show and will certainly be back for another round in season two. Although Snooki's mother wasn't charged, she was present in the house when the party was going on. The Truncalis say that Snooki's cavalier attitude about indulging in alcohol shows she has no remorse for what happened to their son. Michael's mom Michelle tells Radronline.com, "She doesn't care about what happened to our son. We're not out to trash Nicole. I never blamed her for what happened, she was a 16-year-old (sic). I blame others. I am not looking for those people to get arrested, I just want the truth." Although they have yet to pursue a civil case against Snooki, we'll see how long that lasts now that she's rolling in the dough. At the very least, she could do a public service announcement.
