Talk about putting the cart before the horse. While the news of Charlie Sheen checking into rehab spread like wildfire yesterday afternoon, it seems the Two and a Half Men actor didn't officially enter a program until nightfall, long after his publicist's statement had been released. TMZ is reporting that the delay stemmed from the actor's people doing a little due diligence. Apparently, Sheen's team was making sure that his stint in rehab wouldn't count as a strike against him in his current criminal case, stemming from the Christmas fight with estranged wife Brooke Mueller. The terms of his bail say that Sheen can't drink or drug. His entry into rehab is a surefire sign he's been in violation of the court order. Of course, first they have to prove it, which at this point will be pretty hard. Once Sheen's peeps got the go-ahead, Sheen checked into an unnamed facility. Radaronline.com is reporting that Sheen is undergoing treatment for cocaine and alcohol abuse, while wife Mueller is supposedly seeking help for crack addiction. People can never say the two have nothing in common. Taping of Sheen's hit CBS show has been put on hold, but that's the least of the million-dollar man's problems. "He loves his children, and ultimately that's what convinced him to get help," a source told Radar. Mueller's mother is watching the children.
