Tiger's Mistress: From Gossip Fodder to Gossip Girl
It looks like the face that launched a thousand (or more) tabloid stories is parlaying her 15 minutes of fame into a career in entertainment. We're talking about Rachel Uchitel, Tiger Woods' number one mistress. It was the affair with Uchitel that was first uncovered by the National Enquirer and led to countless other women crawling out of the Woods' work. According to the New York Post, the 34-year-old brunette beauty has landed a gig on Extra. She'll go from being the talk of the town to talking about the town as a special correspondent. The paper is reporting that the producers were so impressed by Uchitel's recent interview with Mario Lopez that they offered her a gig covering "hot spots." Of course, the nightlife is right up Uchitel's alley -- she was working as director of VIP operations for a trendy New York nightclub. But don't expect Uchitel to spill the beans on her relationship with the shunned golfer. It's long been assumed she was paid a hefty sum for her silence by Woods and his people. The source tells the Post, "She won't talk about Tiger, but she talks about how she wants to find a husband and have kids. She only has a few real friends left whom she trusts. She is alone a lot and spends time with her two dogs. She seems very vulnerable." At least she's got all that hush money to keep her warm at night. Lucky for Uchitel, Hollywood doesn't brand women with scarlet letters.
