Barrymore Engaged? Not By a Long Shot

Actress Drew Barrymore may be celebrating awards season as she scoops up Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards left and right, but one thing she's not toasting is an engagement. Although she and her on-again/off-again sweetie Justin Long do seem to be going the distance, they're not racing toward the altar... at least not any time soon. The engaging rumor spread throughout the Internet after an announcement about the pending nuptials supposedly appeared on the Grey Gardens actress' Facebook page. Despite his constant presence with Barrymore, the whole engagement rumor is just a hoax, according to Barrymore's rep Chris Miller. He told Radaronline.com, "That story is not true - somebody posted something fake on the site - Drew is not on Facebook." Recently Barrymore spoke out about her relationship with Long saying, "We're friends, and we love each other, and that's all we know. And it's great because we can bring so much personal emotion to it, and yet we don't want to be defined by anyone, because we don't define ourselves. We can bring a lot of honesty to this thing." Bottom line -- he didn't put a ring on it.
