Nerd alert! George Takei, aka Sulu from the original Star Trek, is set to follow in the footsteps of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi and make an honest man out of his longtime partner, Brad Altman. Takei announced the couple's plans to marry shortly after California's Supreme Court voted to allow gay marriage. Now they've announced that the big day will happen September 14, in the company of fellow Trekkie colleagues. Serving as best man will be Walter Koenig, aka Chekov, from the series. Nichelle Nichols, or Lt. Uhura, will be the matron of honor. Even Spock is on the guest list. But forget about those form-fitting - and dorky - uniforms. The swanky affair is to be held at the Japanese-American Museum in Los Angeles and is strictly black tie.
