Tyson Gives Paparazzo T.K.O.
Talk about getting a one-two punch. A photographer was on the receiving end of one of Mike Tyson's jabs when he confronted the retired fighter at Los Angeles International Airport. Paparazzo Tony Echeverria apparently got too close for comfort as Iron Mike stood at a ticket counter with his family. Tyson, who was traveling with his 10-month-old daughter and his wife, became peeved when 50-year-old Echeverria invaded his personal space amidst the circle of celebrity photographers. According to reports, Tyson came out swinging and there was bloodshed after he dealt Echeverria a blow to the face. Echeverria was whisked away to the hospital where he suffered a minor cut to the forehead, while Tyson went directly to jail. The champ was booked on misdemeanor battery and made bail for $20,000. Tyson made a citizen's arrest on Echeverria. Tyson's attorney Richard Schonfeld issued the following statement to People, "Mr. Tyson did absolutely nothing wrong; he was the victim in this case. We look forward to vindicating him and pursuing his rights." Tyson is currently on probation for drug and DUI charges from 2007. No word on how this incident will impact him.
