MTV Wants Their A.M.
Has MTV gone too far in deciding to air DJ AM, aka Adam Goldstein's last project before he died? AM was working on the series Gone Too Far when he died of an overdose in August after staying clean and sober for 11 years. The show focuses on young addicts who are offered a chance at recovery and was in flux after his untimely death. "His mission was to help as many people as he could and this series was a way for him to help on a bigger level," MTV said in a statement. AM's family seem to agree, saying, "It is our hope through airing this show that people will get to see the side of Adam that we knew and loved, not just the celebrity DJ, but the honest and caring person who gave so much of himself to help others. The decision to air the show has been difficult, but we do this with the profound belief that it will inspire others to seek help." The one-hour, eight-episode series will begin airing on Oct. 12 at 10 p.m. EST.
