Don't believe the hype about another sleazy dating show for Flava Flav. The star of all of those "afraid to watch the trainwreck" VH-1 reality shows, has decided finally to get his high school diploma. The 50-year-old star of Surreal Life, the resulting Strange Love and Flavor of Love wants to make his seven kids proud by finishing what he quit in 10th grade. "I just want to show the world it's never too late to get your diploma, and show kids they should stay in school and not wait until you're old to get it," Flav said. "Everybody sees me as this big love mogul. Now I got a baby girl, I've been there and done that and now it's time for the next episode." And there will be episodes - VH1 will televise Flav's academic endeavors. But don't expect to see William Jonathan Drayton Jr. - Flav's given name - geek out and crack the books 24/7. "There will definitely be some wackiness too!" Flav said. "I'm going out for the band, and the basketball team, and the football team. I'm still gonna keep Flavor Flav the man around! If the football team is losing the game, I'm gonna put on a jersey, and I'm gonna go out there and win the game for my school!" He credits band membership as one of the reasons he dropped out the first time: "Another reason why I don't have my diploma though is because I cut classes hanging out in the band room. But on this show, you're definitely gonna see me out there as the drum major leading the band." Let's just hope he's not trolling the high school for chicks.
