Anna Nicole Doctors: Bad Bedside Manner
Recently unsealed records that pertain to bombshell Anna Nicole Smith's death reveal several, well, bombshells about the care she received from her doctors, who are now on trial along with notorious hanger-on Howard K. Stern for conspiring to provide the reality show star with controlled substances. All have pled not guilty, and a preliminary hearing will be held next month. But the new information revealed that Drs. Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich not only attempted to prescribe astounding amounts of drugs for Smith, but they also had an inappropriate personal relationship with her. Eroshevich attempted to procure 300 methadone pills (incidentally, one of the drugs found in her son's system at the time of his death), two types of sedatives, an anti-inflammatory drug and large quantities of a painkiller nicknamed "hospital heroin" five days after Smith's son Daniel died. The L.A. pharmacist who received the order reportedly recalled thinking, "They're going to kill her with this" and refused to fill the prescription. Less than five months later, the former model was found dead of an overdose - with at least nine drugs in her system. Records show that Kapoor filled prescriptions for hard drugs even when Smith was pregnant with daughter Dannielynn. Someone obviously filled prescriptions for the shady doctors, who are exposed - literally - in court documents, showing their relationship with Smith was more than just professional. In fact, Kapoor and Smith have been pictured partying (at left, for example) at bars, despite claims that video evidence taken in a "nightclub-like" setting was taken at a charity event where the two socialized "only" that time. Eroshevich has been caught with her pants down - literally - with Smith in pictures on Smith's laptop. The two are depicted naked and embracing in a bathtub.
