Family Feud at Farrah's Funeral
SPONSORED:
The death of Farrah Fawcett has hardly brought Ryan O'Neal and his children together. In fact, it looks as if it left the already-fractured family even more broken. While friends and family turned out for Farrah's final farewell, one V.I.P. didn't make the cut. Fawcett's longtime partner of 30 years took it upon himself to ban his estranged son Griffin O'Neal from the funeral, preventing him from paying his last respects to the actress. Griffin maintains he drove more than 300 miles to mourn his father's girlfriend, only to be turned away at the door. Griffin told Inside Edition, "I was here to say goodbye to a person I had lived with and loved for 33 years and it breaks my heart. She's mad right now, in that casket, she's mad that I'm not in there." The father and son have had a rocky relationship since Ryan fired a gun at Griffin and claimed self-defense at a party two years ago. But Griffin suggested to HLN Showbiz Tonight that the real reason Ryan didn't want him there is that Ryan was exploiting Farrah to turn a profit before her death, and Griffin knew it. According to Griffin, Ryan may have been playing the role of the grieving lover; however, he was really a "shallow and a very dark man." Ryan didn't waste any time dishing the dirt on his son, stating he's "a bad guy." Rumor has it that Ryan also kept daughter Tatum away from the memorial, although there's been no confirmation.
