Single Mom Bristol's Stand Against Gay Marriage

Bristol Palin obviously doesn't think too much of President Barack Obama, given who her mom is, and she let the world know how she felt about President Obama's declaration in support of same-sex marriage last week. The 21-year-old single mom slammed the president's views on her blog, breaking rank with the numerous Hollywood stars who took to Twitter and other social media to celebrate the announcement. In an entry called "Hail to the Chiefs -- Malia and Sasha Obama," Palin wrote, "Is anyone really surprised by the fact that President Obama came out of the closet for gay marriage?" Bristol wrote. "What was most surprising is when he explained how his position (supposedly) 'evolved' by talking to his wife and daughters." Her rant continued: "While it's great to listen to your kids' ideas, there's also a time when dads simply need to be dads," she wrote. "In this case, it would've been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while [their friends' gay] parents are no doubt lovely people, that's not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage." But it seems Palin has changed her way of thinking about Levi Johnston, who her family has trashed in the press in the past. " As great as [Malia's] friends may be -- we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids' worldview." Poor Tripp.
