Third Time Not the Charm for Quaid

Actor Dennis Quaid's wife Kimberly Buffington-Quaid filed divorce papers in Austin, Texas, last week - super incognito. TMZ uncovered the divorce papers, which were under initial aliases for both Quaids - Dennis going by W.D. and Kimberly going by B.K., the reverse order of their first and middle initials. Reps for Dennis confirmed the split, saying, "We can confirm that Kimberly Quaid has filed for divorce." The couple married in 2004 and certainly had their ups and downs during the relationship, most notably when their twins were born in 2007. Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace were mistakenly given an overdose of the liver medication heparin, but they ultimately recovered and the family settled with the pharmaceutical company out of court. In 2009, the Quaids narrowly avoided arrest when they left a restaurant while appearing wasted. Quaid got behind the wheel, then the couple wisely took a cab when a cop busted him about to drive home. The divorce looks to be amicable - for now. Custody arrangements have been made, and property has been divided. Kimberly gets the Mercedes and main residence; Dennis is living at their condo and is driving their Escalade. In legal papers, the two are instructed not to engage in "vulgar, profane, obscene or indecent" behavior to one another. That may be somewhat difficult - Kimberly has asked everything to be divided evenly; Dennis wants her to get nothing. This is the third divorce for Dennis, who divorced P.J. Soles in 1983 and Meg Ryan in 2001.
