Hollywood Hottie Dishes on Heroics

Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara rang in the new year with a new role -- heroine. The Latin beauty was just the latest Hollywood celebrity to come to the rescue of someone in need. Vergara was making her exit from the hotspot Hyde at the Bellagio when she saw a woman pass out. Vergara rushed to the woman's side and hollered for her cousin, who happens to be a physician. After checking for a pulse, the dynamic duo waited for paramedics to arrive. Vergara called into the Kidd Kraddick radio show for an interview when the frightening incident was reported. When asked about her heroics, Vergara downplayed the entire episode: "We were coming out from celebrating New Year's Eve and some girl collapsed in front of us," Vergara recalls. "It's always nerve-racking to see someone hit the ground like they're dead. But she was just a little drunk. It was Vegas. It was New Year's. I screamed to my cousin and saw that she was breathing, not dead. We waited for her to get medical attention." Kraddick pointed out that Vergara was simply being humble as reports mentioned how Vergara kept the victim, as well as the crowd, under control. She took the high road and pointed out that she's just "good under pressure."
