Aerosmith lead singer and American Idol judge Steven Tyler wants his fans to know that he's not living on the edge. Although the rowdy rocker has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, his recent injuries have nothing to do with his addictions. In fact, the only slip he's had is the one he sustained in the shower. The 63-year-old appeared on the Today Show to assure his followers that he's still clean - hurt, but clean. The 63-year-old musician explained that he had been dealing with food poisoning and started to feel pukish while showering. Tyler said, "I started to get sick, and I just fell on my face. I just passed out." As a result of the face plant, Tyler suffered a black eye, stitches and busted teeth. Luckily, he was taken to a nearby hospital that dealt with all his injuries. Tyler recalled, "It was like one-stop shopping. They stitched up my eye. They did a little plastic surgery. And they fixed my tooth. All in one fell swoop." When news of Tyler's slip and fall accident went public, many people speculated that the "Dude Looks Like a Lady Singer" was back to his hard-partying ways. He maintained that's not the case at all. He said, "I get that people think that. It still bothers me a little, but it's something that I have to have to deal with for the rest of my life." Although Tuesday night's concert was postponed, the show went on the following night. The only thing shining brighter than Tyler was the black eye he had on display.
