Chris Brown Beats Jail Time
SPONSORED:
On Monday, it was time for Rihanna-beater Chris Brown to face the music in court for beating up the "Disturbia" singer after a pre-Grammy party in February. Brown pled guilty and accepted a plea bargain, the terms of which include 5 years' probation and 180 days of either jail time or hard labor, plus he must enroll in a domestic violence counseling program. According to TMZ, who covered the event live, Brown will carry out the hard labor in his native Virginia. A Virginia law enforcement official says the work will include picking up trash, pulling weeds and washing fire trucks. Isn't that what we ALL do on the weekends? Wash our cars, pick up and garden? Sheesh, some "hard" labor. However, as a convicted felon, he does lose the right (if you can call it that) to sit on a jury and own a gun ? which is probably a good thing. He is subject to search and seizure without a warrant and must limit travel, which might put a kink in any touring he might do. The judge also put some distance between him and Rihanna ? 50 yards, to be precise. Although if they're at the same "industry function," he must stay 10 yards away from her. Sounds like someone will get front-row seats to the Grammys, while someone else is gonna have to sit in the nosebleed section?
