SATC Actress Announces Engagement

Move over, Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big. There's going to be another Sex and the City wedding, only the nuptials are for real this time. Cynthia Nixon and longtime girlfriend Christine Marinoni said they do... plan to get married that is. The actress announced the happy news at a rally for same-sex marriage in NYC over the weekend. Also attending the rally supporting gay marriage were New York's own governor David A. Paterson and mayor Michael Bloomberg. After breaking up with her partner of 16 years in 2003, Danny Mozes, Nixon cozied up to Marinoni the following year. Marinoni recently presented Nixon with a sparkly engagement ring, which the actress showed off to supporters. We're guessing Nixon will likely be the blushing bride since Marinoni seems to wear the pants in the family, literally speaking. So let's get this straight -- DeGeneres gets de Rossi and Nixon gets this boat? Are you kidding me?
