Chris Brown's Bubble Bursts

Oh, snap! Wrigley has just pulled all of its ads featuring R & B singer Chris Brown after the "Forever" singer was arrested for reportedly injuring Robin Fenty, better known as girlfriend Rihanna. A Wrigley company spokesman told Usmagazine.com, "Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved." Brown has been charged with making criminal threats, a crime punishable by up to nine years. According to numerous media outlets, Rihanna was taken to the hospital for contusions and bite marks sustained during the altercation which followed a pre-Grammy party the couple attended together. While driving home, the argument got physical, forcing Rihanna to call 911. Both parties were slated to perform at the Grammy awards but did not attend. While Brown nor Rihanna have issued statements about the incident, Brown has hired Mark Geragos, the lawyer used by Scott Peterson and Michael Jackson. After all, nothing says "I'm innocent" like hiring the great defender of guilty parties. The one person who has spoken out to shed a little light on this dark matter is Rihanna's dad. The pop star's pop told Splash News, "She told me she had an injury to her shoulder, but said to me 'don't worry,' and that she was good. I had heard about the assault allegation, but to my knowledge, there was no kind of fight. I think Chris is very immature - he is very talented, but very immature."
