The Travoltas Leave Bahamas, Arrive in Florida

Grieving parents John Travolta and Kelly Preston returned to their home in Ocala, Fla., after cremating their only son, 16-year-old Jett. The teen passed away due to complications from a seizure disorder, a source told People magazine. The Travoltas had been vacationing in the Bahamas to celebrate New Year's with an annual getaway held for family and employees when Jett passed away. Jett had suffered from the life-threatening seizures since his early childhood. In an earlier statement, Travolta and Preston issued this statement after the loss of their beloved son, "Jett lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time that we had with him for the rest of our lives." Travolta and Preston also are the parents of 8-year-old Ella.
