Want to know what aging supermodels do to stay thin? The answer might disgust you, especially if you give even the slightest crap about animal rights. Elle MacPherson, aka "The Body," was interviewed via Twitter for an Australian newspaper about her devotion to Chinese medicine and how it enabled her to keep that moniker. The answer was stimulating, to say the least. She points to powdered rhinoceros horn as her secret ingredient for weight management, tweeting about its taste, which she describes as "a little bit like crushed bone and fungus in a capsule. Does the job though." The interviewer asks about its efficacy and mentions that some consider Chinese medicine quackery, to which the supermodel replied, "Put it this way, works for me." But if Elle knows a rhino, then she's consuming an endangered species -- slightly hypocritical for a woman who once boycotted a London restaurant for serving bluefin tuna, another endangered species. The 47-year-old backpedaled on her controversial claims, saying she "never knowingly consumed or encouraged the use or consumption of any products which contain material derived from endangered species." She regretted "any distress or offence that her banter with an interviewer might have caused." Sounds like Elle's familiar with another natural feature of Africa -- De Nile...
