If you just couldn't get enough of Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton's weird love affair circa the blood necklaces, never fear. It looks like Thornton is going to allow moviegoers an in-depth glimpse into his three-year marriage to the Salt actress. Variety reports that the Sling Blade actor is co-writing and directing the tentatively titled And Then We Drove, a story about "a guy who's on a road trip and picks up this girl along the way, and what happens to them. It's about the question of life: 'What is this? Where do I fit in?'" Thornton says. An insider said the film was loosely based on his relationship with Jolie in her pre-adoption, pre-Brad Pitt days, and producers confirm the claim. The two will have plenty to talk about when they both attend the Berlin film festival this week, where they'll promote their recent respective directorial projects, Thornton for Jayne Mansfield's Car and Jolie for In the Land of Blood and Honey. But Thornton says there's no bad blood between the two. At the BAFTAs, Thornton said, "When people split up, people like to make up stories about how they are against each other. Well, this was never true, it never has been and never will be, and I'll love her until the end of my life and she'll love me - as friends." We'll see if that's the case after And Then We Drove is released.
