For some strange reason, the American Diabetes Association had Steve-O slated to participate in their Celebrity Go Kart Tournament over the weekend. Unfortunately, the Jackass star had a major beef with the ADA when he took a look at the menu. A strict vegan, Steve-O immediately left the premises with the charity event when he saw meat was being served, " I came here because I thought this was about promoting a plant-based diet as diabetes prevention and they're serving MEAT there ... so I'm outta here." The recovering addict likened it to serving alcohol at an AA meeting. The jokester added that he found the oversight to be no laughing matter, "It's kind of an outrage to me ... it's stupid." A rep for the ADA maintains that they have nothing against meat and says there's no stipulation that people shouldn't eat meat if they're diabetic. Despite his anger, the ADA says that Steve-O is always welcome at their events. The rep says, "The doors are always open."
