Spencer Pratt: Broke As a Joke

How the mighty have fallen. Former Hills star Spencer Pratt, aka King Spencer, is persona non grata in Tinseltown and barely has two pennies to rub together. According to Us Weekly, the 28-year-old hothead can't seem to land a paying gig to save his life... or fund it, at the very least. One insider maintains that his own agent won't even speak to him. The source says Pratt owes "hundreds of thousands of dollars in commission" to his agency. Supposedly, Pratt reaches out to his agent as much as 30 times a day. The source adds, "They just laugh at him or pick up and hang up." Pratt, who's supposedly enrolled in college, has taken up residence at one his parents' hoity-toity homes since he and wife Heidi Montag owe more than $2 million in taxes. Montag once commanded an incredible $65,000 an episode. Together, the couple blew through a whopping $10 million on plastic surgery, luxury cars, designer clothes and much more. Pratt says now they're really paying the price, "We were immature, worrying too much about the famous part instead of the actual business part. In hindsight, we shouldn't have spent any of our money. We should have been low-key and saved. We spoke with a bankruptcy attorney and I've looked into unemployment checks. We thought The Hills was going to be like 90210 and we'd have another five to 10 years... Our cast was a bit boring and snoozeworthy... No wonder we got cancelled... My parents are my lifeline." We're sure none of his current problems have anything to do with the fact that he acted like an insufferable d-bag during his reign as a famous reality star.
