Where there's smoke, there's fury. Pop star and habitual smoker Britney Spears pulled a disappearing act just 15 minutes into her sold-out Vancouver concert because of cigarette fumes, angering the crowd of fans. After performing just three songs, the comeback kid exited stage left for more than 30 minutes when the smoke apparently got to be too much for the Circus performers. According to the Vancouver Sun, an unknown woman told the crowd, "The building is awfully smoky. It is uncomfortable for everyone on stage, including Ms. Spears. Please extinguish all cigarettes ? this is a non-smoking building, and the show will resume when the smoke on the stage is cleared." Half hour later, Brit Brit returned to the stage and the show went on. However, the unpredictable pop princess proved it was still a three-ring circus in the end. As she was walking off, she said, "Vancouver, don't smoke weed." Britney then showed off her potty mouth by telling the crowd, "Rock out with your c***s out! Peace, motherf***ers!" Wonder if papa Jamie Spears washed her mouth out with soap for that one? Spears people issued the following statement following the concert, "We want to apologize to all the fans who attended our Vancouver show tonight for the brief pause in Britney's set. Crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue."
