It appears there's no love lost between American Idol judges Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres. The two mega-celebrities are apparently butting heads... big time. In fact, the dueling duo are having such a hard time playing nice that the producers had to put them at opposite ends of the table this week. So what's the big problem? According to AI insiders, Ellen thinks SImon is a big meanie. As for Simon's beef with Ellen, that's anyone's guess, although he appears to enjoying pissing her off with his critical assessments of contestants. Whether the conflict is real or contrived still remains to be seen, but it could be nothing more than a ratings ploy, not like the hit show needs it. When host Ryan Seacrest brought up the game of musical chairs, Ellen replied, "We had a little problem and I felt like it's safer over here. Simon wants me. He's got, like, a thing for me." Then they showed footage of Simon rubbing her leg. In the end it doesn't matter if the feud is real or fake -- at the end of the season Simon will be hightailing it to bigger and better things, like his X Factor show.
