Once upon a time "All I Wanna Do" singer Sheryl Crow fought breast cancer and won. Now six years later, she promises fans she will do the same with a benign brain tumor. The 50-year-old songstress was feeling forgetful and decided to make sure everything was on the up and up. But it was hardly old age creeping up on the fit and fab mother of two. While getting her head checked, doctors discovered that it was indeed a tumor causing her memory issues. She tells the Las Vegas Review Journal, "I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor ... but it's benign, so I don't have to worry about it." According to TMZ, Crow's tumor is actually a meningioma, a non-cancerous tumor. Ironically, Crow was simply mentioning the tumor in passing. Her rep tells E! News that the "Soak Up the Sun" singer has never been better, "Half of us are walking around with [meningioma], but you don't really know unless you happen to have an MRI. [Crow] has no symptoms and everything is fine. It was a random mention during a [recent] interview. It was not meant to alarm anyone. She is doing great and is healthy and happy." Crow's reps didn't discuss whether or not the singer will undergo surgery. However, the first cut is usually the deepest.
