While some media outlets were reporting that Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen had hashed out a financial settlement marking the end of their marriage, that's hardly the case, at least if you believe what their spin doctors have to say. The couple may be living separate lives, as both struggle to work through their issues - with Mueller using rehab and Sheen using paid escorts. However, a joint statement by Mueller's attorney Yale Galanter and Sheen's longtime friend Mark Burg state the couple have no plans to call it quits. They state, "Please let us clarify this: They are not seeking a divorce nor has one been contemplated. There has been no financial agreements between the parties of any sort. Stories to the contrary are false." You'd think at this point Sheen and Mueller would want to put their marriage out of its misery.... The hard-partying celebs maintain they're giving it they're all to put on a united front in the best interest of their children. Of course, Radaronline.com say Sheen and Mueller are finite and are only putting on a happy face until things settle down. Radar claims that the couple is just waiting for the right time to finalize everything. That will likely happen after Sheen's criminal trial in Colorado is complete and he's done negotiating a new contract for Two and a Half Men. According to a source in Mueller's camp, the recovering crack addict and mother of two is satisfied with the payday she's receiving. The insider tells Radaronline.com: "She wanted more money but she's happy with what she can get. She's moved out and will never move back in. They've both been miserable in the marriage almost since the start. But they need to spin things right now because of the trial and the TV show. The reality is there for everyone to see. Both Charlie and Brooke relapsed. Both went back to rehab. Charlie was caught with another woman. Brooke moved out. And she's told everyone close to her the marriage is definitely over and they've agreed it's over."
