Move over, Jude Law. Hottie Ryan Phillippe is showing everybody how to handle an illegitimate baby with a little class. Although he may not need a Lincoln lawyer, the Hollywood A-Lister is probably going to need himself a good family lawyer as he awaits DNA tests to see if he's the father of model Alexis Knapp's unborn baby. The rumor mill went wild this week as Knapp stepped out and about revealing a very obvious pregnancy bump. It doesn't take a rocket scientist -- or a gynecologist -- to figure out that the timing pits Phillippe as the potential baby daddy. The two were dating last fall, and Knapp's due date is in June. While most celebrities typically take the party line and deny, deny, deny, the father of two is taking the high road. Sources tell TMZ he'll "gladly" submit a sample to find out if they baby is his. But here's the catch. He refuses to have a DNA test performed BEFORE the baby is born as it could hurt the fetus and he doesn't want to put the child at risk. What a guy! The insiders tell TMZ Reese Witherspoon's ex will also step up as a father and provider for the baby. As for Knapp and Phillippe, that's likely a done deal. While the two dated casually, the only thing serious about their fling will be the impact it's going to have on his wallet. An insider tells People magazine, "Ryan is aware of the situation [and] totally prepared to take responsibility should the child be his."
