For Lindsay Lohan, playing the late, great Elizabeth Taylor may be the role of a lifetime. However, the 25-year-old's critics believe she doesn't deserve the honor. First in line to bash Lohan's new opportunity is talk show host Rosie O'Donnell. The outspoken former OWN celeb believes that Lohan is still a hot mess who won't be able to rise to the occasion. O'Donnell was a guest on the Today show when it was revealed that Lohan will portray the violet-eyed Hollywood royalty in the Lifetime movie Liz and Dick. O'Donnell immediately seized the chance to make her views well known, alluding to the troubled starlet's poor track record. Said O'Donnell, "I feel very sorry for her ... I think she needs a lot of time away ... She's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL. She was out and not in rehearsal. I think she's not in a place to work." Donny Deutsch, who was also appearing on Today, drew a parallel between the deceased Cleopatra actress and Lohan, saying they are more alike than not. He explained, "She's our generation's Elizabeth Taylor." O'Donnell immediately jumped all over Deutsch's statement, even questioning his sanity. O'Donnell exclaimed, "You're out of your mind! You're a crackhead! The last thing she did good she was sixteen. I don't think she's right for the role and I don't think she's capable at this point to portray that character."Obviously, the casting director of Liz and Dick begs to differ.
