It's safe to say that Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart do not adore their neighbor, Billy Corgan. The Grey's Anatomy alum and his wife are accusing the Smashing Pumpkins singer of being responsible for a eucalyptus tree that crashed into their home and did major damage. The McSteamy family alleges that on November 30, 2011, while Gayheart was nine months pregnant with the couple's second child, a tree came crashing through the house, severing power lines and breaking the sprinkler system. Everyone evacuated safely - and they say they haven't been able to return home since then. The Danes say Corgan knew that the trees on his property could be felled easily by powerful Santa Ana winds, E! Online reports. The lawsuit reads, "Despite his knowledge of the incident and the significant damage it has caused to the Dane dwelling, Corgan has failed to show any remorse, to reach out to the Danes in any way, to make restitution for the significant damages he caused, or take any measures to remove the remaining improperly maintained and/or rotten eucalyptus trees from the Corgan property." The Danes are asking for general and compensatory damages and to have the other dangerous trees removed from Corgan's property. Corgan denies that he was given a warning about his trees and told ABC News, "I was horrified when I learned about the tree falling…Thankfully, no one was injured," said Corgan, adding that the legal brouhaha is a "shame…because [Eric and Rebecca] are nice people."
