Singer Wes Scantlin's name is mudd after a mid-air meltdown that forced his plane to make an emergency landing. The rowdy rocker turned into a hot mess when flight attendants refused to serve him alcohol on a cross-country flight from Boston to Los Angeles. Instead of ending up in L.A., the 40-year-old singer was kicked off the plane and arrested by the Austin Police Department. According to TMZ, trouble started when Scantlin got into with a flight attendant who wouldn't provide the already-intoxicated singer with another drink. Scantlin apparently created such a scene, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Bergstrom International Airport. The "Blurry" singer was initially busted for public intoxication. However, he could face additional federal charges for interfering with a flight crew. Unfortunately, the timing couldn't be worse for Scantlin, who is already on probation for felony cocaine possession. This past July, a judge ruled that the charges would be dropped if Scantlin completed a drug program and stayed out of trouble. Obviously, he's struggling with the former and the latter, seeing how he was getting banged up on the flight. A rep from the Austin Police Department tells E! News, "The flight was diverted to Austin due to Wes Scantlin, lead singer of Puddle of Mudd. Once the plane landed the officers did their investigation and deemed that the individual was intoxicated and was placed under arrest for public intoxication." Now Scantlin faces prison time, although we'd be willing to bet he'll soon make a beeline for rehab in order to circumvent the consequences.
