The high-speed pursuit of pop star Justin Bieber could land an aggressive paparazzo behind bars for up to a year. Last week, a slew of photographers chased the "Boyfriend" singer down the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles. At some points throughout the cat-and-mouse chase, Bieber hit speeds of up to 80 miles per hour. However, there's a pretty substantial case on Bieber's behalf. Most of the ten 911 calls stated that Bieber was being chased by the photogs. Initially, one California Highway Patrol source told TMZ that even the photog would likely get off the hook, "It's a misdemeanor committed outside the CHP's presence and it's a stretch the City Attorney will take the case." But now it appears the ringleader of the chase could be charged under a new law that prohibits the shutterbugs from putting people's lives in danger while shooting photos or videos. In addition, the photo could face an additional charge for reckless driving. TMZ says the city attorney is looking at the incident and contemplating how it should be handled.
