Parents Television Council Gets Stern with Advertisers

America's got talent, but NBC might not if the Parents Television Council has its way. The advocacy group is on a rampage after the hit NBC talent show decided to add shock jock Howard Stern to the judging panel. PTC plans on hitting the show where it hurts -- square in the wallet. According to TMZ, PTC made contact with 91 advertisers, pleading with them not to spend their ad dollars on America's Got Talent. TMZ got its hands on the letter, and they paint a pretty bold picture of Stern, who isn't really known for family-friendly entertainment. PTC even attempts to use Stern's own words against him, repeating a tirade he made against American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino. He said, "Hey Fantasia, you're not getting little boys hard. Nobody's beating off to you. Little boys want boners. They want a Britney Spears or a Rihanna." PTC goes on to say that Stern is only experienced in judging T & A because he is an expert at "looking at insecure, naked young women and telling them whether or not they were hot enough to pose for Playboy." TMZ goes on to point out that the PTC's campaign could be a major blow for Talent. They boycotted both Skins and The Playboy Club, both of which were cancelled.
