Oprah OWNing Up to Her Mistakes

Believe it or not, Oprah Winfrey's network is basically tanking. Despite being the Queen of All Media, the OWN network hasn't been the smashing success that many had expected it to be. As a result, Winfrey will be stepping back in front of the camera once again in January. Although she pulled the plug on her hit talk show after two and a half decades, Winfrey will put herself back in the hot seat with the debut of Oprah's Next Chapter, which is essentially a last-ditch effort to save her network. On the new show, Winfrey will get together with A-List celebs such as Steven Tyler, Sean Penn and Paula Deen. She will hang with the Aerosmith lead singer in his New Hampshire home. She'll visit earthquake-ravaged Haiti with Penn. And she will have a sleepover with the celebrity chef. Meanwhile, it looks like Rosie O'Donnell's talk show on OWN may not be salvageable. Her viewers are down by more than half after her debut in early October. Even more telling is the fact that Oprah's BFF Gayle King moved from OWN to a gig on CBS' Early Show.
