Odds Not in Favor of Hunger Games
It had to happen sometime. Like a doomed Tribute, The Hunger Games fell to number three at the box office after two new films took the top spots. Steve Harvey's Think Like a Man took the top spot, earning $33 million, a major profit over the $13 million it took to make. And Nicholas Sparks' novel come to life on the silver screen, The Lucky One, finished a solid second with $22.8 million going to Zac Efron taking his shirt off. The Hunger Games earned just $14.5 million, but don't feel too bad for the citizens of Panem. Katniss Everdeen & Co. have held the top spot for four weeks, earning more than $500 million worldwide so far.
