E! correspondent and reality show star Giuliana Rancic made the shocking announcement that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The 37-year-old revealed that she is having surgery this week and will then go through six weeks of radiation to treat the cancer. Rancic told Ann Curry on the Today show that doctors found a tumor in her breast while she was undergoing a mammogram to prepare for her third round of IVF treatment. Rancic's struggle to conceive has been well-documented on her reality show Giuliana and Bill - and she's refused to give up the good fight to become a mother. She had a miscarriage following her first attempt at IVF, while the second try didn't work at all. Despite being diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, Rancic maintains that she's more determined than ever to have a child. She tells NBC, "I still want this baby ... because this baby has saved my life. I truly feel God was looking out after me ... If I had gotten pregnant later down the line, I could have been a lot sicker." Rancic credits her husband, Bill, for being with her through thick and thin. Says Rancic, "The best thing about Bill is, he lets me cry when I want to cry."
