All the world is a sound stage... at least in Spencer Pratt's world. Although Speidi promised to stick together through thick, thin and dismal ratings, the once-happy Hills couple will soon be no more, providing this isn't just another way for the desperate fame whores to make headlines. And this time it's not just talk. After months of speculation that their split was nothing more than a publicity ploy, the plastic surgery princess took the next step in silencing critics and officially filed for divorce. Pratt maintains the union was all for show anyways -- and by show he means MTV's The Hills. Pratt said Friday, "I love Heidi but our marriage was a show - it was part of The Hills world. And that world is on a sound stage." Pratt says it was their desire to one up each other in the fame game that ultimately drove them apart. Adds the diabolical degenerate, "It's clear that reality TV-fame-loving Spencer Pratt does not fit with my ex-wife Heidi Montag's ambitions for a motion picture actor/pop star career and being a single sex symbol for the world. Some say if you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen, Well, Heidi couldn't handle King Spencer's fame so she got out of the marriage." While Pratt may be coming across as the jilted lover, Montag's lawyer Jodeane Farrell makes it sound like everything is peachy keen between the drama queens. Farrell told People, "The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner in an out of court settlement. Both parties are amicable with each other and over the possibility of finalizing their divorce." The couple tied the knot in April 2009. Looks like their next reality stop could be Divorce Court.
