A war of words between comedians Jay Mohr and Chelsea Handler turned out to be no laughing matter over the weekend. Trouble was brewing after the Gary Unmarried star took to his Twitter account after running into the Chelsea Lately host in the Denver hotel where they were both staying. Handler was in town to perform at the Wells Fargo Theater, while Mohr was in town doing a show at a local comedy club. Obviously, somebody was feeling a little inferior and decided to sling some mud as a result. Mohr Tweeted, "Just saw Chelsea Handler in the lobby of my hotel. She was so drunk she could hardly walk. I think someone has a wee bit of a problem." While it's no secret that Handler likes her libations, what she didn't seem to like was Mohr's comments. In response she Tweeted, "Jay Mohr thinks I 'stumbled' past him last night. There's a big difference between stumbling by and just not interested." Ba-dum-dum. Mohr was hardly the toast of the town after slamming Handler's drinking habits. Her fans began attacking the Jerry Maguire actor. One wrote, "ur a douche if God was a woman his name would be @chelsealately!" It wasn't long before Mohr was doing damage control. He Tweeted, "Chelsea Handler is one of the funniest comedians working today. No joke. Any one that wants to go see great comedy should go see Chelsea." Realizing he'd never get booked on her E! late-night talk show at this rate, he brownnosed a little Mohr Tweeting, "Chelsea Handler performed for 5,000 people last night. I performed for 300. HUGE difference. I was making a joke. CH is one of the greats." Handler's only response was to thank her more than 2 million Twitter followers for their support, "I love that my fans stick up for me. Thanks guys...you make a girl feel special."
