One woman who we know definitely isn't having an affair with Tiger Woods is Meredith Baxter. That's because the 62-year-old is not just coming clean about her love life, she's coming out... of the closet, that is. Not only is the has-been still alive, she's alive and gay. After walking down the aisle three times with men, including one marriage to actor David Birney, the former Family Ties mom made a major life change and began dating women almost a decade ago. In fact, she's been in a committed relationship with building contractor Nancy Locke for four years. Baxter is only coming out now on the heels of a National Enquirer story that shows Baxter partying on a lesbian cruise with Locke. The woman who made Elyse Keaton a household name opted to tell her own story and spoke out on the Today show about her sexuality. Says Baxter, "I am a lesbian and it was a later-in-life recognition. Some people would say, well, you're living a lie and, you know, the truth is - not at all. This has only been for the past seven years." Although Baxter and her partner live a very "out" lifestyle in Los Angeles -- friends and family are well aware of their relationship, it's just now become public knowledge because of the tabloid fodder. Baxter, who ironically won an Emmy for playing a lesbian mom on an after-school special in 1993, says she now realizes why her other three marriages failed. "I got involved with someone I never expected to get involved with, and it was that kind of awakening. I never fought it because it was like, oh, I understand why I had the issues I had early in life. I had a great deal of difficulty connecting with men in relationships."
