It looks like pop queen Katy Perry has a brand-new love interest. According to multiple media sources, the freshly divorced 27-year-old is recovering from her shadow days with a little help from known womanizer John Mayer. Although the 34-year-old ladies' man has been keeping a low profile over the past couple of years, he has previously been linked to Hollywood hotties such as Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, Minka Kelly and Jennifer Aniston. Perry appears to be the latest conquest in a succession of high-profile relationships for Mayer. So far, there is no confirmation as to whether or not Perry and Mayer are making beautiful music together, but they appear to have been hanging out for the past couple of months. Hopefully Perry is wide awake when it comes to the singer's reputation for engaging in heartbreak warfare. All of the chatter surrounding a potential romance between the two has gotten louder after the two were photographed leaving the Chateau Marmont hotspot in West Hollywood. The heavily trafficked area is not exactly the place you go to if you're trying to keep things on the down low. One source told Usmagazine.com that Mayer and Perry were actually holding hands during the dinner on Wednesday night. The couple was seen together back in June when they were supposedly hanging out at the Soho House. MTV.com reports the musicians first met each other back in 2009 just before Perry started her ill-fated romance with ex-husband Russell Brand, who happened to be the host of the MTV Video Music Awards that year. Perry's divorce from the British actor became official last month.
