There's trouble in paradise for Matt Lauer and estranged wife, Annette Lauer. The National Enquirer is reporting that the Today Show anchor has moved into his own apartment after the couple began having problems. At issue -- Matt's incessant boozing and flirting with other women and Annette's suspicions that the NBC personality has been cheating on her. This isn't the first time the Lauers have experienced marital woes. Back in 2006, Annette filed for divorce while pregnant with their third child. He eventually bowed out of divorce proceedings, but it appears some of the problems remain. According to Radaronline.com, the trouble started with the Winter Olympics this past February. There were rumors that Matt had been hanging out with two Canadian reporters, who happened to be hot women. When the rest of the Today Show crew returned to New York, Matt stayed in Canada. Apparently, Annette got wind of his antics and confronted Matt when he returned to the Big Apple. He denied that anything had happened, but after two days of defending himself, Matt got fed up and got out. He moved into his own bachelor pad. One insider says that Matt wants to keep his troubles at home under the radar for fear of the fallout. The source tells Radaronline.com, "Matt is trying to keep this [split] on the down low." In addition, sources say that Lauer's NBC bosses are pressuring the presenter to maintain his image as a solid family man to appeal to his largely female audience. "Matt is still very involved in his children's lives. He goes to the family apartment after he finishes his Today duties to see the kids -- and picks them up from school. For their sake, he and Annette plan to continue getting together on weekends -- and they'll go to their house in the Hamptons."
