Imitation isn't always the sincerest form of flattery. Just ask reigning pop queen Madonna. The Material Girl made a bold statement while preparing for a concert in Tel Aviv over the weekend. The 53-year-old singer brought an old controversy back to life when she covered Lady Gaga's hit "Born This Way." While preparing for her upcoming concert, Madge performed "Express Yourself" and flawlessly blended her tune right into Gaga's ditty. The song choice is definitely ironic, considering many people deemed "Born This Way" a blatant rip-off of Madonna's '80s hit, including Madonna herself. While the "MDNA" singer initially remained mum about the similarities between the songs, she later called "Born This Way" a "wonderful redo" of her song. In another interview, she told the media that the song was "reductive." Gaga countered her hero's comments, calling them "retarded." It appears Madonna is not ready to bury the hatchet just yet. Although it might seem like Madonna was extending the olive branch to Gaga, not so fast. At the end of the medley, she sings lines from her song "She's Not Me."
