The hunky singer-turned-actor was getting his beauty sleep when something -- or someone -- tripped the alarm in his Los Angeles home around 1 a.m. That's when the 44-year-old CBS star decided to take matters into his own very powerful hands and proved he's the ultimate home security system. According to reports, LL found the guy downstairs and immediately took him down until police arrived a few minutes later. And he beat the guy senseless in the process, allegedly breaking the suspect's jaw and nose. LL's rep issued the following statement about the "Going Back to Cali" singer's heroics, "He is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities." Police insiders tell TMZ that the burglar was hospitalized after LL Cool J got done with him. They also added that the guy might have some mental problems. It goes without saying that he's completely clueless, breaking into the house of a man who's known as much for his muscles as he is for his music. As for LL, he won't be charged with kicking the guy's butt.
