Lindsay Lohan may have money woes, but things just got a little better, courtesy of E*Trade. Lohan was suing the company for "using her name and characterization" in a commercial that first ran during the Super Bowl. It depicted a "milkaholic" baby named Lindsay who seems stuck in a love triangle with two other babies. Although there are millions of girls named Lindsay, this one took the "Madonna" defense, saying her name was highly recognizable on its own. As ludicrous as it sounds, and even after several motions by E*Trade to get the suit dismissed, they have come to a settlement with the wacktress. Sources say she did get some cash out of the deal, but probably not the $100 million she was seeking.
Lindsay's attorney Stephanie Ovadia tells TMZ, "The case between Lindsay and E*Trade has been settled ... there is no further comment." Expect plenty of comments from Judge Elden Fox Friday, however, when Lindsay appears before him to answer for not one but two failed drug tests. Fox warned the Mean Girls star that she would do 30 days in jail for each dirty test. Lindsay admitted testing positive for cocaine, Tweeting, "This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions." The other test she failed was positive for amphetamines. The latest setbacks leave her future and appearance in the film Inferno in limbo. Shooting was to start in November, which doesn't look likely if Lindsay is back in the pokey for a couple of months.
