Ryan Seacrest has been in talks with NBC about becoming one of its TV personalities, and now Matt Lauer feels the ever-present host breathing down his neck, according to RadarOnline.com. Late last year, rumors surfaced that Lauer would be leaving the top-rated Today show, and Seacrest's meetings with NBC brass seemed to point to him as a potential replacement. But seems those talks were about Seacrest's coverage of the London Olympics for the network this summer. However, Lauer probably shouldn't rest on his laurels yet. He and Seacrest had an on-air sit-down about various topics on the Today show. The two were friendly and jokey about upcoming changes, with Lauer saying, "I think you would be great at this job, and secondly ... Ryan and I are friendly,'' Lauer said. "We have talked about this and joked about this." Seacrest fired back, "I see you doing this for as long as you want to so maybe the question is, 'How long will you be on the Today show?'''
