Italian-American groups everywhere can rest easy -- two Jersey shore cast members don't have an ounce of Italian blood in them. Initially, the show was under fire for perpetuating negative stereotypes about the ethnic group. However, it now appears two of the main "guidette" princesses are anything but. Us Weekly is reporting that neither of the reality show's leading ladies is Italian. The startling revelation came out during an interview on Fox's Strategy Room. Jenni "JWoww" Farley confessed that she is actually Spanish and Irish, and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is Chilean. The whole thing is kind of ironic since advertisers and ethnic watch groups were waving the Italian flag in protest of the cult hit, so much so that some corporations refused to go near the MTV breakout show. This just lends a little less credence to their concerns. While the gals may not have any Italian heritage, we're pretty certain Vinny Guadagnino, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio and Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino are the real Italian deal, although Ortiz-Magro isn't a full blooded Italian according to J-WOWW. For all the haters who think this changes things, keep in mind the show is called Jersey Shore -- not Italian shore. Right about now, we're betting MTV isn't feeling much amore for J-WOWW.
