The price of beauty is a subject about which Jessica Simpson has learned a lot over the past few years. Her new show, called The Price of Beauty, follows Simpson and her two BFFs, CaCee Cobb and Ken Paves, around the world as they explore the lengths other cultures will go to obtain beauty. The show premiered Monday night, and it was all gags and giggles - literally. The goofy gang's first stop was in Thailand, where, unlike the bronze standard of beauty in the U.S., pale skin is considered beautiful. Jessica met with a woman who went to such lengths to whiten her skin that she damaged it, hampering her ability to find a job and love. But the group showed a little less compassion when they tried to choke down worms and crickets - said to speed up metabolism -- in a crowded marketplace. CaCee and Jessica gagged, giggled and made spectacles of themselves, drawing stares from the Thai people. The "hilarity" continued when they visited a Buddhist temple and participated in a meditation ceremony, attempting to emphasize inner beauty. The ditzy blondes kept up the "ugly American" act by getting a bad case of the giggles during the ceremony. In related news, Jessica appeared on Barbara Walters' Sirius XM show and said she wanted to find a man who "understands me and can deal with my life and is not embarrassed of my life." Best of luck with that. Next week, the show heads to Paris.
