Come Monday, it will be alright. TMZ is reporting that despite serious contract disputes that put the future of Two and a Half Men in limbo, the show will go on... with leading man Charlie Sheen. The embattled actor, who's contending with domestic violence charges, marriage woes and substance abuse issues has signed on for two more years of the hit sitcom. It was reported that Sheen was asking for a whopping $2 million per episode, and although the CBS came back with a much lower amount, they eventually ponied up some serious cash. Their initial offer was less than $1 million per episode. But obviously, the brass over at CBS came to their senses as far as what the show was worth to them... and it's major money. Sheen issued the following statement, "To put a fitting end on the two-and-one-half months of whirlwind speculation, I'm looking forward to returning to my CBS home on Monday nights. I want to thank Les Moonves for his support." And by support he means MONEY. Hopefully, Sheen's lawyers will be just as successful in negotiating his rights to smoke in the Aspen jail where he'll likely serve 45 days for threatening estranged wife Brooke Mueller last Christmas. According to Usmagazine.com, Sheen's biggest concern right now isn't the jail time he's facing -- it's whether or not they'll make an exception to the facility's no-smoking policy that's been in effect for more than 10 years. Although they allow nicotine patches, nicotine gum isn't permitted as it's a hazard to the cushy carpet that covers the floors. Based on the description of the Pitkin County Jail, it's about one step down from a posh day spa. Usmagazine.com says the digs are chock-full of plants, spacious living areas, TVs and other amenities. Inmates can even socialize with the opposite sex in a shared living area. They even served prime rib and Cornish hen on Christmas day. Talk about hardcore...
