They tried to make him go to rehab and he went... but not for long. Ted Williams, aka the man with the golden voice, fled the rehab facility in Texas after just two short weeks undergoing treatment. Williams reluctantly checked into rehab for drug and alcohol abuse after an intervention by Dr. Phil. At the time, Williams appeared genuine in his desire to get clean, but it appears not so much at this time. Williams became an overnight celebrity after he was discovered in a video panhandling on the streets. He was whisked away and put on the talk show circuit in true Hollywood fashion. He even landed work, signing a contract with Kraft Foods to do voiceovers. However, the dream turned into a nightmare as Williams gained notoriety for a domestic dispute with his daughter while in Los Angeles. The argument led to an appearance on Dr. Phil and from there, it was straight to rehab. Sounds like the next place you'll hear poor Williams is on a street corner near you.
