One of the view's most outspoken co-hosts is experiencing major backlash from some of her peers over at ABC after she lambasted ESPN reporter Erin Andrews for her skimpy costumes on Dancing with the Stars. Overly conservative critic Elisabeth Hasselbeck went after the blonde bombshell on Tuesday's episode of The View, saying, "In light of what happened ... and as inexcusable as it was for that horrific guy to go in and try to peep on her in her hotel room ... I mean, in some way if I [was] him, I [would be] like, 'Man! I just could've waited 12 weeks and seen this -- a little bit less -- without the prison time!'" Hasselbeck was referring to the peeping Tom incident where a stalker took video footage of Andrews undressing through a peep hole in her hotel room last year. The footage made its way all over the Internet, and the sicko was sentenced to two and a half years in prison. Andrews' fellow Dancing with the Stars castmates quickly came to her defense, including her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who took a nip at Hasselbeck, stating, "I'm the one designing [Andrews'] dresses for the show, so I'll just assume that [Hasselbeck] is jealous... and stupid..." Another angry DWTS personality was judge Louis Van Amstel who took to his Twitter to come to Andrews' rescue. He wrote, "Why did u have to throw @erinandrewsespn under the bus this morning? Shame on [you] ... Leave her alone. Aren't u all working for the same network ABC/ESPN???? U should have each other's back, not trashtalk Erin." Andrews admitted to Access Hollywood that she was wounded by Hasselbeck's harsh words. Says Andrews, "I think people can have opinions about the show, but my biggest complaint is she's a woman and a mother and it was a mockery of something I've lived through this last year ... I felt like it was a slap in the face for victims of stalkers and victims of sexual predators." It doesn't matter if Hasselbeck has one or two left feet, she definitely inserted one of them into her mouth this time around.
