Looks like Sarah Palin has lost the ever-important Hasselbeck endorsement. The former Alaska governor and the View host seem to have ended their conservative companionship. Elisabeth Hasselbeck stumped for the McCain-Palin ticket in the 2008 election but has seemingly withdrawn her support for Palin, who is on a whirlwind "family vacation" around the U.S., stopping only for photo ops and speaking engagements. A source tells PopEater.com that Hasselbeck has tried contacting her old friend many times and hasn't gotten a response. "Sarah has let her down. Elisabeth has reached out to her several times but she never responds," the source said. "Elisabeth feels used by Sarah," another source said. "When she needed her, she was all over Elisabeth and now she treats her like a stranger. It's sad." And Palin probably isn't enjoying The View as a result. Hasselbeck has been lambasting her fair-weather friend on the show for using the "vacation" to detract from the attention being given to Hasselbeck's new favorite Republican, Mitt Romney. She condemned Palin's decision to roll through New Hampshire on her tour bus at exactly the same time when Romney announced his candidacy for president in the state. "If I had termites in my house, I'd get someone in there who could deal with it," Hasselbeck said. "Mitt Romney, right now, his specialty is the economy. I'd have him in there. Here's why we're not hearing it: because Sarah Palin's on a bus, and right now she's manipulating, in terms of media attention."
